Hey there folks.
A group of us from Burlington will be heading to the Bay for 3 days of fishing on the 14th. My question is, where would we have our best chances at some fish?
I was at Deseronton last Sunday and from how I did, saw and hear now it was a bit slow. We would be trailering our boats around to try different spots and any suggestions would be appreciated. I just hope the weather will be in a stable pattern for a few days, last year we arrived along with a big weather front and the fish went into hibernation it seemed.
8 days and counting :)

You may want to avoid the George Street launch that weekend as there is a 2 day tournament out of there.

I don't think it matters where you go, your gonna catch fish!

It figures. First the weather was to be nice, now a cold front with rain. For Friday we are debating between Trenton at the river mouth or the Napanee river. Any suggestions out there ?
Would be appreciated.

I fished Napanee river last weekend from shore and caught nothing..... I heard there is a good bite on in the Narrows...... launch at herchimer and head left, that's the best I can do.

Well three days on the water and four walleye to show. But there was bass, perch and pike as well. The six of us spent day one, Friday, at the mouth of the Trent river, for the day a couple of good bass. The wind was blowing into the river so getting out onto the bay was a no go. Watching the fighter jets was cool though. I don't know how people could sleep in that town.
Day two, Saturday, we put in in Picton, went over to Hay Bay and trolled to the other end and back, one bass and one perch. The partner boat got one walleye and some other stuff. It was cold, windy and rained at times.
Day three, Sunday, we went to Wellers Bay and had a good day. Four keeper walleye, some fun pike and for me a four and a half pound small mouth on my ultralight. Good fight that was. My friend in the other boat had a seven pound pike up to the boat before it broke him off. Over all fish all day for the six of us and the sun came out which was nice.
Two days of driving around and all the fun right out the front door.
So all in all, good fishing, good fun and good friends.

Next trip may be in November out in the reach for the big girls.
Already planning next year as well.
