Well I have been catching the big Lake Ontario walleye most of the summer out toward Pigeon Island and yesterday Sept 23 I managed to work a very large school of eyes about 3 to 5 miles out from the entrance into the Bay of Quinte.

I fished the gap this morning in 110-160 FOW. A few marks @ 40-60FOW but no takers. Surface water temp 19C. Checked out the outlfow at Lennox and I couldn't believe the surface action. Turns out they were gar- hundereds of them. No solid hook ups, mind you a 4 footer sure had my heart rate elevated. Mitch
