Headed out to Quinte today and decided to jig, instead of trolling. The last 10 trips have been trolling cranks, not that I don't like catching those 10+ EYES on cranks and boards, but we wanted to switch it up a bit. Nice to also be able to keep a few small Walleye for table.

Started at 6:30am, low winds allowed us to target a few sweet jigging spots, great action ALL day in numerous spots. Between my buddy Jody and I we ended up landing 65 walleye 1 1/2lbs to 4 lbs. We also missed a few 10+ fish and hit 2 nice smallies.

Cheers, Hodgey....

Pls don't reply unless you have something intelligent to say!!

My post was meant to let everyone know that the long awaited jig bite was on, maybe I won't share ANY updates in the future.

Cheers, Hodgey

Hi Hodgey
Nobody believes our 30 fish trophy weekend either. Quinte kicked them out last weekend. Most of my fishing is done way up in Northwestern Ontario. 300 plus a day. That is in Red Lake Ontario not a fly-in. The tournement is so good that people can't get in.
Don't take it to heart. You did good by sharing and you deserve to brag.

Good to here that the Jiggn is working. my partners Mux and Mac like to troll because of the weight, but no better feeling than the light strike on the drop of a jig and the heart pumping. Hope one day to meet stanley20footer and see what he is all about. hey Mux hes back

Hey, let's not take ourselves too seriously. Great action was obviously had by the lucky poster here. Certainly, on the right day, Qunte could cough up those numbers. I have buddies who worked a deep hole in Quinte last fall, drifting and jigging, landed over 50 fish. I've done it too.....best day ever was 55 in just over 5 hours, but haven't had anything close to that again. Doesn't happen very often, but for someone who hasn't had the experience of that kind of fishing frenzy, it is a little tough to believe.....keep the posts coming, there's some of us who won't question you.....tight lines!

Here is a quick pic of two of the fish we caught that day...I'm also trying the nail down the process for posting pics from a host.

(Thanks Wiggler).
