Opening weekend less than a month away and the ice is still on the bay. Large sections have opened up but with the cold weather some areas have refroze. I had already put away the auger for the season but now I'm starting to wonder LOL! I think its safe to say at this point, jigging the Napanee river will be a safe bet for a guaranteed bite on the opener. Better get out the jig box and sharpen some hooks.
