well me and my two friends went up to the bay and stayed one night.. we stayed at merlands.. we loved it.. i got two walleye on inline planers using the yozuri, we tried the aldopholus reach yesterday and today b4 leaving but didnt mark much and the other 8 boats seen out there werent appearing to be catching any either.. the area north of the cement plant i managed one ner 7lbs the first day there.. and the waves were almost killing us.. next yr survival suit for me for sure.. my friends already have theres!! we were only fishing about 20 min when i got the fish.. then another 20 min later i landed a fish around 5 lbs.. there was lots of baitfish and what i suspect were walleye being marked in that area.. thank you to those that gave me helpful advice this was a fun first time at the bay and i will now be makin this an annual thing!! i might even try it in the spring!!

Nice catch. Good to see you got some action on your first visit to Quinte.

I haven't had the chance to try Darryl's mix yet. I've always used fish crisp. But I hear that Darryl guy knows a bit about shore lunches.

Welcome to the board Naturenut, and by the looks of things the walleye dinner looked delicious.

You can be sure all Darryl thinks about is eating.

Just watch his show. All he talks about is shore lunch.

he cracks me up.....I watch it mainly to see the faces on those that he fishes with when he wants to keep everything he catches.

......they pretty much have to pry them out of his hands :)

And when it's being cooked.....you gotta laugh at his "well, I like a little bit more pepper and lemon in mine!" and he's not cooking it.

.....phenominal!!!

Cheers

Nice to see Jeff_C coming out of hibernation. It's been awhile since I've seen the slapped penguin.

Personally, i'm just glad we have folks like Cronzy speaking for us anglers....

His end of the show campfire session is the best part of his show....i hope he continues to b*tch about the MNR, and show us how pathetic our funding for the MNR has become.

Fire a Bio, Hire a C.O. :D

Thanks for the welcome back. I've been viewing, but not posting. I haven't been out much myself due to Waterfowling. As the colder weather rolls in you'll see more from me. Especially come freeze up! Then its time to hop from the duck boat to the fish trap. My wife is going to give birth any moment, so I will probably have limited hunting and fishing for the next little while. But some quick trips out in the Belleville area might work out.
