Steve I have the same thoughts as you, but you are lucky, move to Quebec and the fisheries and input from the province is nothing compared to Ontario.

I moved here after living in Ontario and let me say I am shocked.

Limited access for anglers, Unless you own property, exaggerated launching fees, boat washing fees that make you cringe... Unless you own land around the lakes, worst part of it all is that the feds gave most of the launches to the municipalites and now the municipalities listen to the voters from their municipality to limit access and its a money grab for them.
