I am new to this board though I surfed on it from time to time.

I visited BOQ several times each year and really loved it. I fish for walleye, north pike and bass for relaxation only and practice catch and release most of time.

I intend to purchase a cottage on Unger Island right East of Desoranto on Mohawk Bay. Any comment on Mohawk Bay's fishing and property on Unger Island is sincerely welcome. It is bit strange that you need to get into the cemetery to get on Unger Island.

Hi Bassin,

Welcome to the board and hope you enjoy your stay here. There are a great bunch of guys here that have a ton of information to help you out. As for the fishing in Mohawk Bay well it is one of the better spots to enjoy fishing. I know that ice fishing there does well as does the bass fishing in the summer.

I'm sure more of the members here will post here that regularly fish Mohawk Bay.

Regards,
Sam

Bassin,

Welcome to the Board

Mohawk Bay / Green Point / Telegraph Narrows are all areas that are available and have fish.

Lots of Ice fishing there too.

In the spring the fish returning form the Napanee Riverspend time in Mohawk Bay and there are a LOT of fishers there on opening weekend.

It's not too far to run Down Long Reach to Shermans / Thompsons and some of the deeper water in the fall..

There should be more info from other board members.

Stay Tuned

Thanks Sam. I will visit you in your store. My friends told me that you are a great guy with tons of fishing tips. Superdad, I enjoy reading your posts all the time. They are very informative and educational. I will try to get those lures you mentioned in your posts from Sam.
