Well it’s that time of year (early this year) to keep an eye on the ice conditions. Four guys plus I have been out checking and there is no way that this ice that we have is safe at all. You are going to probably read of some folks out fishing on it but they are putting their lives at stake from what we have found. Like last year I will do daily checks and when the guys and I feel its safe I will let you all know immediately. My goal in the past and present has been and always will be the safety factor of every-one. The almighty dollar is replaceable, human lives are not. Be patient and hang in there we will all be out fishing hopefully sooner than later and who knows the way things are looking we may have a longer season this year , that’s if the weather man has it correct and mother nature doesn't throw him for a loop. LET’S KEEP IT A SAVE ONE.
Best to all ...Ron

Thanks Ron

We are planning to go down and try some ice fishing too.

When is usually the best time for the walleye bite, Early ice or at the end of the season?

Thursday Dec 6/07 - Looking out my office window I see 4 people out ice fishing in the Trent River where yesterday the swans were swimming. Correction - 3 people fishing. These people are crazy.
