went today, arrived about 10 and fished til 3,we caught no eyes but landed a lot of perch and kept about 10 nice ones, a few were really big
rained most of day lightly, not enough to go home but enough to get wet and cold...there were only 2 huts where we were but down from us I saw about 10 at least a mile or 2 away, all close together from my view, question where is that spot?
how do I get there?
Im guessing from north shore road?? if so where do you park?

take south shore road. finding south s road , use mapquest. there is only one pubic lunch on road , parking right there (hay bay boat ramp )

joey, i watched those guys for a week or so while i stayed at perfect vue mid december.

what are they catching out there? a few nights we walked about half way to where they were, and tried, but didn't have much luck...i think i caught a perch.

anyways, thanks for the info....and good fishing. :D

Out from the boatlaunch on the north side. With today's rain there 1 to 2" of water in many places making walking difficult unless you have cleats. Five inches of good ice but no more, straight out and across from the launch. As you move towards the Reach the ice thickness decreases rapidly. Fishing was slow in the late morning (early morning anglers did fine) with the action picking up towards evening. Lots of two pounders with some big fish 8lbs + taken and returned.
