I fish all the lakes, ponds, streams, and rivers in the area. As far as the "out of towners" go, I've seen and been fishing with locals how will throw crap in the water. So what I'm saying is that we ALL need to pick up OUR Trash!

It's the same all over. Just look at the side of our highways. Tim Horton cups and McDonalds bags all over.
We all have to do our part.
The Quinte and Belleville area needs touirists, no matter what.
Thats what helps Sam and many other locals stay in bussiness.
I for one welcome all tourists.

Its the same on Scugog, Last week when I was out I picked up 2 pop cans, and an empty minnow bag as well as a piece of a hut, looked like a broken runner and had nails sticking out of it. Some people leave there pop cans to mark the holes they were fishing but its still littering. I posted a long spiel on one of the private forums I`m on about this same topic. Someone came to the hole I made 2 nights before and the area was left with all kinds of cigarette buts all over. If the good ones like ourselves just keep on picking it up it will still make a differance.
thanks again Sam

Ok , Ok before you send the linch mobb please read what I posted on the other thread. And I do appoligize to you and all other lawabiding out of towners.I got into a heated conversation with a couple of guys from out of town on the ice about parking on the weekend and I think I was still venting from that. When you come up again you will see there is no parking signs all over the place now.Again I appoligize to all that are not the offenders.

But I still refuse to kiss anyones @#$ because they spend money to fish here.

its an ongoing concern folks i for one am glad this has been brought up,sad to say it only takes a few people to ruin it for everybody,i agree with you all but in the end its up to us to pick up after ourselves and there would be no problem,i too (last year and a little this year)have picked up garbage in fact 2 GARBAGE BAGS FULL coffee cups, pop cans, fast food bags,1lb propane cans the list goes on.
i even approached 4 guys last year and said hey fellas can you pick that garbage up you just through on the ground heck we don't want them shutting this spot down cause of some garbage on the ground.
there reply was who the f are you mother nature well thats all it took i steped out of my truck and said look just pick it up and through it in your truck box no biggie takes 1 min of your time and if not mother natures gonna make you pick it up 8O .
funny thing is they picked it up,we then started talking fishing good group of guys, most people when confronted will pick it up if ask in a good manner .
so lets all help with this ongoing problem all over our roads and lakes.
remember it only takes a few to ruin it for all...
