Was there last night between 6-9:00. Tad bit on the stormy side, but goes with the territory. As did the phrase we went "fishing" not "catching"... Anyway, there was about 12-14" of ice where we were but with the storm, probably didn't go out as far as we should have.
Hope you have better luck than we did.

Was there any slush on the way out? And how much snow on the ice?

i'm not sure why you would want to go fishing off of bain but go nuts. the ice now has about 4" of powder on it as all the slush has turned to white ice. you know it's pretty bad when guys who live in trenton and area, can't tell you what the ice conditions are.lots of ice in big bay and i've heard that there are some fish being caught off of big island. don't be afraid to look for the huts with the truck caps on them!!!!!HH"s huts.
100% club and remember to keep your eyes glued to your vex!!!!!

Walleye 100% club the last time I was out at Bain (2 weeks ago ) we caught 15 walleye between 3 of us they were between 2 and 8 lb. They were all released but 6 of them.Thats probably why we would fish at Bain park, also a lot closer than driving to big island, its only 5 minutes from home.
