Hi guys , its my first time posting on this board and after reading through some of the posts i know i'm going to have a good time with all of you..

I have a few question's for you guys..
The july long weekend i booked a three night stay at the isaiah tubbs resort..does anyone have any nice or bad things to tell me?
and also i've never fished this area before..the resort is located on westlake rd i've reserved a boat a 14ft 9.9hp for two days..I have no clue where to start fishing, if anyone can give me a few places to start looking for walley and bass it would be appreciated, and also what type of bait and lures should i be using..?
Thanks and happy fishing

Tony,

You've booked a POSH place. It's a great place to eat.

Can't comment on the fishing as that's Westlake and only seen it when dining at their restaurant.

There are some replies to OntarioFishing Board, that people think you're coming out of Picton Bay into the Lower portion of the Bay Of Quinte.

Have to wait til the Westlake fishers read your post and comment back.

Tony,

Well, that certainly changes the outlook for your fishing trip. Launch in Picton Harbour and head out towards Picton Bay (Not too fast- don't create a wake). Once past the last buoys, turn right to the south shore and find the weed line and fish that weedline up to the Gazebo.

You can fish all that shore and then out in the open water, stay close to the weeds.

Hope you have a portable graph of somesort as it is quite difficult without a depth and bottom identifier.

You can fish those weeds alll along that shore. Italo and Pete Bowman DID real well last year along those weedlines with crankbaits.

Read what the others have said and formulate a plan.

Tight Lines
