I made a set of the dual planer boards from plans that were provided on the Quinte website, and can't get them to work properly.

Insead of approaching say 75 degrees from the boat they run about 20 degrees. And when I try to speed up any at all , the front and sometimes the whole board submerges. They "porpoise" a lot.

I'm thinking I may need to drill some holes near the rear of the boards on the bottom and add some lead to weight the rear of the board.

Any suggestions?

I made a set from the plans a long time ago and never had a problem. One way to correct the problem might be some styrofoam(sp?) on the bottom at the front

Thanks, I've got several things I'm going to try, and that will add to my list.
