The action has been red hot for the last week os so! I was out yesterday early and caught 9 walleye in the norning. Last evening boated 2 more with superdad he had 3 as well.
All of the other fisherman in his trailer park are getting excellent catches as well. Uzicks as well as other spinners have worked well.
Don't know how long it will last but take a day, off call in sick, tell them your car broke down, your dog got sick, your grass is so long you had to cut it,you were kidnapped and ended up in a boat in hay bay!
Do what you can it's great!...Larry

Larry,

how were the fish size wise? Last weekend we had 12 with the biggest being a 17" and the rest about 13" - 14". Mind you, one of the other Bayview residents was catching mainly slot fish so I guess it depends on where you're fishing. This same guy actually had a CO tell him to keep the 12" - 14" fish as they were from a good spawn year (2001?)... would make for a lot of filleting if you ask me. I would rather keep one 17" - 18" for my meal than fillet three 12" - 14"s. 14" is about as small as I would want to keep anyways.

8O :)

I am glad the fish are biting! Sounds like your having a riot out there.

Hello gentlemen. Just got posted to Trenton from Windsor. I don't know the area yet. The word is that Haybay seems to be the place. I was looking at bringing my dad up from Windsor for a few days on the bay. I saw Blakewood Lodge on the website and just wondered if any of you knew what the place was like. Is it close to the hot spots? Any suggestions? I want to make it a good go because I don't know how many more fishing trips the old man has got left in him...........Can you help?

hey mr twister you seem to have a very bad attitude when people report catching fish could it be you just have problems boating any or are you just that kind of person.Get over it and get out there and fish yourself and you might make some of these large catches.personally i think 35 fish is a small number compared to some of the catches i have been witness to...

A few weeks ago around Ram Island, 35 fish per boat was about an hour and a half's work for two people. My girlfriend and I were catching 40 plus an outing. You literally couldn't throw your line out without catching something, it was truly amazing. Mind you, the size of the fish were probably 85% 12-14" but that just bodes well for the coming year and years to come. :D I'll be up tomorrow til the 17th and hear that the bite is currently in Mallory Bay. Hopefully it'll last for the Saturday Bayview Resort vs. Perfect Vue tourney! Mr. Twister, tie on a Uzick and maybe you won't find the numbers so unbelievable
