Thanks to All for your posts !
After having a Pennsylvania friend, Thanks Len, alert me to the fact that they are reporting on here of a great bite, did take a look at the posts, and with the wife and me on vacation, snuck out to the south shore of Hay bay (launched at the church) and did as the rest and fished Ram Island area. Monday (7 th) got 12 walleye; mostly 14 to 16 inches and 15 or 16 fish on Tuesday. We did keep a feed of them on Monday and released all on Tuesday. Thrill of the day, was a sheephead bigger than any I've seen; felt like a barn door stuck in the current!! Over ten pounds. All fish were caught in the middle of the day, say 10 am til 4 pm. Of course, didn't have a Uzick spinner, so fished out some ol' Edgewater hotel spinners, (Still got em Pete !!) and they hit them eerrreal good !
I would like to "Thank All of You" who have persisted thru the "walleye wars"and are posting accurate reports; this is what I've hoped for this message board. People like me, with time at such a premium these days, are counting on your accurate reports and posting my own. Enjoy The Bay!! It's a world-class fishery!!
And, in case you haven't noticed, "They are freekin"bite in"
