Was able to get out fishing on SUnday AM, tried at Shermasn but it was TOO windy to try and finesse the shoal. Went over to Thompson's Cove as it was in the lee, hit four over there, two @ 12" and a 17" & 18" using the chartruse blade in 18-20'.

Went out Tuesday with a friend who hasn't been able to catch any walleyes in the summer.

Boy did that claim fly out of the boat

Friend picked a fish within five minutes of trolling over at Mallory Bay.

For the next three and a half hours, the action was nonstop, fish on almost every fifteen minutes or less. Final count was 24 fish landed and four kept for the table. Biggest was 21" - released.

Fish taken on both the Orange and Chartruese Uzick Spinners in 18 - 20' and when they stopped biting there, we then had success in the 16 - 17' range.

People were claiming on Saturday evening that the bite was over - guess not.

Best fishing ever.........

Superdad, well to start I just picked up your wifes email inviting us to come look for you this past weekend as we were staying up at Bayview Resort. Thank you for the offer it was very generous. I missed picking up the email.

Saturday my buddies and I fished the river over by mohawk bay in the morning. Caught one large catfish, good fight though. Then we pulled out and picked up some Uzick spinners from Bakers so we had all the right colors. Then proceeded to launch out of Shermans and fished by the green buoy all afternoon by Ram Island. Caught many Goby, Perch and probably the largest Silver Bass ( sheephead to some, fresh water drum to others) of my life. Great fight. My buddy lost a decent sized small mouth which we think was in the 5lbs. zone.
We fished hard all after noon and then the evening we fished right out in from of Bayview and nothing.
Sunday got up and did the sameending up with one small pike and a 2lb largemouth.
Then only when we went to settle up with Bob & Georgette did we find out that you were there.
I would love to find out what we were doing wrong and potentially employ your service/knowledge of the area for a day.
I am looking at heading out that way again the first week of August with my father for a day as he is now retired & has not been walleye fishing or caught a decent walleye in sometime. Now I feel it's my turn to put him onto some nice fish like he had always done for me especially since he introduced me to the wonderful sport.
We do have all the necessary technology even a GPS.
Glad to hear you and your friend were so successful.

Cheers.
