We have rec'd a report that a pair of mysterious trawlers are plying the waters around midnight from SHermans Pt down towards the Ferry.

Does anyone have any idea as what these boats are doing, (legal or illegal)? They appear to be dragging large nets.

It is a concern to campground owners.

Superdad,
I know there is an "electrofishing vessel" conducting studies in the bay on a yearly basis. Part of DFO water quality project or something. It could be them??

Stop them and ask. It is your right to know and understand. If DFO is involved (I have been waiting for this), any and all action is scarey, given the history on a national basis of dividing user groups, areas....I hope this is merely a study, and if it is, it better have live release (impoundment) gear.
