Hello,
I am looking for info on where to stay( a nice place) for a week of walleye fishing. I would also like some info on where, when, how to go about catching walleyes at the bay of quinte. Is it a day or night bite? Baits to use, trolling methods, speed, etc. Any and all help would be great. Thanks to all who respond. Jersey John

Hey Jersey John,

I believe Merland Park has an annual get together at the end of November that a lot of the board members here attend (see their ad on this site). I've not stayed there personally but know of some friends that have and were quite pleased. It also puts you quite close to the action for the November & December bite. In fact the owner of the resort is almost guaranteed to put you on fish from what I hear. There's a local fishing show that used them which I've seen on TV. For pics of some monster 'eyes from last year visit the photo gallery. I like you're website by the way, if you're looking to top your personal best Quinte's the place to do it! Good luck.

Have a look at pages 9,10,11 & 12 of the board for backpages & posts and info.

It will be easier to go thru and pick out the vital info.

Ken was right, Merland Park is open til ice-up and it's right on Picton Bay, main and key fall area.

Thanks for the info. Looking forward to fishing on the other side of the lake and sampling the trophy walleyes there.

Just got back from the best fishing weekend that I have every experienced.

Stayed at the Bayview Inn in Deseronto. The Walleye were hiiting continuously and there were fish of all sizes.

I highly recommend it you will not go wrong.
