Just returned from my first trip to Bay of Quinte. Stayed at Pickerel Park on Hay Bay and my son and I did most of our fishing around Shermans Point in 15 to 25' of water. Using Cabela's worm harnesses we managed about 50 Walleye in about 15 hours of fishing. Best was 24 inches and most were in the 13 to 16 inch range. All but 6 ( 15 inchers for fish fry) were released. Overall, a very good trip - a little windy at times (popped some floor rivets on the boat) and we will definitely be returning next year to the area. Thanks to this site for some useful info gleaned over the last several months and thanks to the to the people at the park for their hospitality. Hope all the ongoing efforts to maintain this fishery are successful.
