Just a short note to report that we were able to get out last Saturday for the mornings fishing.
15 or 18 boats at Shermans, so we went to Thompsons Cove, Met Hay Bay Larry and Red Swan, who were doing real well, Met Brother Wise and they were doing well.
Started to fish and within two minutes, my wife landed a 20" on an Orange Uzick, from that point on she outfished yours truly by a 6 to 2 score.
The bite was on and when the sun broke thru the clouds - IT STOPPED.
Good morning as everyone was catching fish.
Reports from the last several days indicate that the no wind and flat water has the walleyes not biting, hope you get some wind, seems like a secret ingredient.
Would like to say how much fun we had at the Kaisers' Pig Roast and Barndance on Saturday night. Everyone had a great time and hear some of the areas brightest and newest singers. The food was excellent.
Back to fish Monday - if the gods are willing.
