That's a tough call. This year there have been no bad times on a regular basis that are bad.
I personaly love fishing at first light. You have the area all to yourself. You can fish for 2-3 hours without a crowd forming. Evening is also good although more people about. I avoid the mid day because of the heat. I know some people have done well then but it's everyones own preference....Larry

Keep track of the weather and water conditions. With bright sunshine and relatively calm conditions, earlier in the day and the evening might be better. However, if it is cloudy or hazy overcast, with or without much wind, the walleyes may be active all or most of the day. I've done the best under overcast or cloudy skies with a moderate wind, and of course a steady, relatively high barometer.
