Hi there Mr.Superdad!

So did you ever get that hat back?
Remember me?I`m the guy from St-Jérome,Qué. Parc La Vérendrye adept and deer hunter. We just missed each other in the fall of 2001 in Picton.Caught my biggest walleye ever that day(and the wife too).I tried to send pics of that but the scanner did a very poor job on that and it wasn`t worth it.
Well I`ll be at Bayview resort with all the family next week, from Wednesday night(a bit late maybe)to Saturday at noon.
And I`ll have the pics with me!
Hope the bite will still be on then.I have to get my two daughters to catch their first walleye!
I was wondering if by any chance you could drop some of those miraculous Uzick spinners at Bob`s for me.
Always enjoy reading your posts, very informative!
Thanks, Daniel

You out on a vacation SuperD?
Too bad you haven`t been on the boards since last Wednesday. We are leaving tomorrow afternoon and should be in HayBay at Bayview resort around 9:00PM.
I`ll see what I can do about those Uzick spinners when I get there.Maybe I can get a hold of HayBay Larry?Haven`t seen him on the boards lately either though.
Anyways,I`ll manage.Take care,
Daniel

Sorry to have missed your message, but, we had a bit of a problem last Thursday and I was off off-line. Power failures and work schedule kept me away from the PC. I did get out to Hay Bay on Saturday.

You'll be gone when this is posted on Wed AM.

See Bob Bertrand for the Uzick spinner.

Best of luck

Hi there!

Thanks for the reply Superdad.Too bad we didn`t get to meet each other this time either. But I`ll be back for sure!
Had a wonderfull time with the family.Weather was beautiful, quite hot actually and I was worried that wouldn`t be so good for fishing. But no,the bite was on.Caught fish on every outing.
I`ll never forget the look on my daughters face when they caught their first walleye, nice 18 inchers that ended in the pan.
Daddy did the driving and sonar watch while they did the fishing with mom.We would stay for 4 hours in a row and no one asked to go back to the cottage! That says a lot about the action...The girls are only 7 & 9 years old.
Uzick spinners did the trick but any spinner, any color worked well.Mostly fished around Sherman point and around Ram island when the wind picked up.
Also seemed like everyone was catching fish.
Hope to be back soon!
Take care and have a good one
Daniel

Daniel

Glad to hear that your trip worked out and that the girls caught walleyes.

Fishing has been fantastic.

See you next year.
