I continue to admire your dedication, in bringing about an upbeat mood to the Quinte fishing experience. I see a great deal of things in my travels in many parts of Canada, and just thought I would pass this along.

My own fishing experience, interest continues to mostly focus on cool water species, with the B of Q continuing to be of interest. Good work

Hi there Don,

Nice to hear from you, hope things are going well in BC?

Are you far from the fires?

Watching Sportfishing BC on OLN always excites the trout / steelhead urge, but reality sets in and the hunt for the walleye continues.

Atlantic Salmon action is set for Sept 30th on the Miramichi, looking forward to that trip.

Best of Luck

Hi Superdad....aka Dave
I am about 2.5 hrs away from Kelowna, with fires happening in assorted dry areas. That said....although I am in what one can consider a coastal rainforest, it has been very, very dry. Hopefully the rain will come soon.

Fishing wise looks interesting for me given my interest in trout and soon to be salmon. Sockeye, Spring and soon pink salmon are the local catch of the day, with some interesting gear, techniques to learn. Show wise, it will be interesting, with smaller venues but a heck of a lot of avids like us!

I do look forward to being back in the Quinte area at some point, but could not resist this opportunity (I have a small piece of paradise in the Quinte area, that I want to do something more with at some point). The fishing opportunities in both places seem to me to be amongst the most diverse and accessible I have had the chance to enjoy in Canada.

I am about to become active in writing very soon, given that I have had a couple of projects on the backburner that I have been looking forward to completing. Hopefully between work and my other outdoor passions, I will continue to enjoy, all that so many beautiful areas in Canada have to offer.

Don,

Send me an email and I can write you off line.

BC is a fishing paradise, I watch the shows and they fish up the Skeena and it looks great.

Hi Superdad:
I will be forwarding my email, but will have to wait (B & E has wiped me out for $6000++ of computers, antique Canadian reels, etc. etc.) Roughly a month is my guess??
