I enjoyed reading this and encourage all to get as much information as possible. That said, I am extremely biased and want only the best single person from any talent pool to lead the proverbial "MNR pack". I am not interested in many things that perhaps one should be, but I am extremely interested and aware of many things relating to the business and politics, dynamics of the outdoors.
I surmise from the wording and questions, etc., that this was put together by OPSEU. The credibility of the this org. and the tactics it has been known to employ is suspect on a good day. To be taken on a more serious note, this needs to have been answered by Gerry O. Ernie is simply the leader and cannot be expected to answer about an area that he has little knowledge about.
This cannot be taken seriously in the form presented by the OCOA in this form.

I do not apologize for my bias and believe fully that in order for the job to be done to the utmost optimu, possible results, that officers need more resources in all shapes and form. This will not happen with the current crew at the helm in MNR/OPSEU (yes it is indeed a twisted abomination).
Taking it a step further, all of MNR needs to be revamped in a way that would make both OPSEU and senior MNR leadership (Cam and company) cringe to the core. New ways of doing business from the top down, is a tall order with all too many obstacles to be overcome without some serious personnel, policy change. I do not believe that any serious revision will be seen in the forseeable future.
My make believe vote goes for Gerry. He is at least interested in the porfolio and has taken some small steps in the right direction. Change at this time will be a step back (again I am biased and look at what any potential leader or party can do for the outdoors, given the current and possible upcoming conditions).
Think before you vote.......and always do as much research as possible. I had to be devils advocate on this one.....it just stood out like a sore thumb when I saw how it was presented.
