Was wondering if anyone was going to be brave enough to fish the bay this weekend. I'm debating it, however the forecasted 40+ km/h winds have me wondering. What size waves could you expect? I don't think I've seen a forecast with that speed of wind this year. Would the fish even be catchable in this type of wind? Sunday is forecasting a more manageable 20 km/h. Anyone with any thoughts?

Having just dealing with those type winds last week, was able to troll only with the use of a large drift sock tied to the bow,I have a 17.5 ft.deep V,no canvas, with 60 tiller and adjustable idle, a 2000lb. pkg. You will have to troll in 2 directions, into and with the wind, and when into the wind be ready for a fire drill, they say not to but I swear I catch more fish going into winds. Even with all this you are going to be one tired puppy after that workout. I caught some nice eyes a couple years ago off the cement plant mid-October,you can get out of some NW winds there with the high bluffs.

Sorry I should of checked forecast first,I'd try the ferry area outside Picton, that south wind might be tolerable down there, use the public launch. Keep up the reports!
