Went to Picton Bay with a buddy Saturday night-launched about 7:00 pm-trolled out from dock into bay staying on the weedline in about 9-11 ft of water.
After about 10 or so minutes ,buddy had a major hit and landed a 26 " walleye down in the weeds(for the most part they were still reasonably green)My buddy was using a firetiger coloured walleye demon.
Continuing in the same area trolling and caught another walleye about
a hour and a half later about 22 1/2 " on a perch coloured walleye diver.
Caught by my buddy as well.I got to man the net.
Sunday morning was windy(wind coming straight down the bay) Stayed out until 9:00 am and packed it in. Saw a couple of boat go by us towards(it looked) to the cement plant. No fish on Sunday but a couple of hits Will try again in a couple of weeks.l used #18 raps, and shadraps without much luck.

Thanks for the report Brian. Interesting some fish in the bay.

Did you see or mark any schools of shad?

Cheers,

Mike

The shad came into the harbour Sunday night so fishing was a bust that night. I saw one pickeral caught that night from the boat launch but that was around 6:30 before we saw the shad appear.

I had similar luck as the original poster on Saturday as I caught a 27" 8 lb walleye in the harbour at around 9. But that was all for us between Saturday and Sunday.
