Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone still uses live bait anymore? It has been 4 or 5 years since i've fished the bay in the fall. When i did, we used black and red and just black bucktails tiped with monnows bairly dragging them across bottom. We were at the end of long reach just before it opens up to Deseronto.

Do people use bottom walkers there? How late in the year will these fish hit worms? Can speed triger a reaction strike?

Guys do use live minnows into the fall. I have witnessed some off of thompson's point doing well. As the season progresses various large lures work better....Larry

It is interesting that you mention live bait. It has come under pressure in a number of areas and in a number of ways.

In the Bay of Quinte area, getting a consistent source has been somewhat difficult from what I understand (regarding particular size, etc.). Just a comment.
