will all staff be experienced in the hunting/guns selection, or will there be times that are better than others?

Steve ,
The best ones to ask for with the most experience would be either Ryan or Greg . These 2 guys were hired specifically for the hunting/gun sales . Hope this helps !

Shelly ,
At this time we do not fix guns , but can provide names and numbers of gunsmiths in the area .

1lastcast ,
If we do carry what you are looking for , there is not much that we can not order in for you on request . Just come in and see us to ask .

Hope fully this helps guys !

I was in last week and talked to one of the staff, he said that they will match any price out there, if they can comfirm that the price is true and that it is in stock.

No offense to you Shelly but why wouldn't you get a couple prices? I try my best to support local and/or independent stores but on items like this saving money is saving money. I bought a Sako A7 this year and by making 3 phone calls saved 126 bucks before taxes...and it wasn't from the first place I tried. With times being tight I've had to shop more than usual since as important as my hobbies are they are only done after the bills are paid.

maybe you should turn it around and go to Canadian tire first, and get there bottom line then see if you can get someone to order it at a savings.... its always kinda dirty to ask someone to go thru the hassles to look up, make a few calls. spend his time to get a solid price just to have it beat by another store .......... does anyone find it odd now that wal mart has crappy hunting and fishing slections after years of trying so hard to put the small guy OUT OF BUISNESS ? you are right. it is all about saving a lil money on goods you buy. but at what long run cost will it be at? very very few people will sell AT COST thats not smart buisness . but you will never find toilet paper, and pampers sold at your local gun shop or tackle store......... I was at Gandar mountin just yesterday. asked the guy if they had any clip weights. his answer was. WHAT ARE CLIP WEIGHTS ? . I almost asked him if his normal department was clothing lol. but I bit my tongue ............ Grizz

I agree with Grizz and I am the same as badbass I definetly shop around and I go where the best deal is BUT as Grizz stated why wouldn,t You go to CTC and ask what is the best You can do!!! and then shop!!! and if the local dealer is way out of line then go where You want.
BUT we have touched on this subject before and You may not like what I have to say I would lean toward the local guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you enjoy standing at the counter and talking to someone who has been trained to get a PAL so they can handle guns BUT have no prior experience with (makes, models, calibres, ballistics, etc) they will be a world of info to the customer!!!

The prices will be (set) have fun trying to talk a deal !

If you have a problem with your,e gun go back to customer service and deal with that (AT LEAST QUINTE OUTDOOR & SAMS )will go out of there way to help a customer out!!!!!!! probably fix the problem on the spot because both Sam,s & Quinte have staff that have gunsmithing experience!!

If you have a problem with a certain make they have no problem calling the manufacturer to get the problem solved!!

(Believe me every thing breaks down at some time, usually when you need it) CT will have no knowledge of what is wrong . where Q.Outdoor & Sams can probably fix the problem on the spot, as for CT shipping it out(unless it is new & you bought it at CT) Don,t know there policy

Trade ins should be interesting!!

I just cannot picture walking thru CT or any type mall facilitie with a fire arm (scares me) I think any person shopping at CT OR WM are going to be a bit horrified AND THIS WILL ADD ANOTHER KNOTCH TO THE GUN LOBBYIST WHO WOULD LIKE TO SEE NO GUNS AT ALL!!!!!!!

To the people who will shop at CT or WM for guns and ammo good luck with the commroderie of fellow Hunters talking about the up coming Deer,Bear, Duck,Goose,Moose season and the past experiences during the Hunt!!! You will probably be asked to leave if You get to many people hanging out and just shooting the S--t
