How's fishing from shore in Picton?
I don't have a boat and would like to come down to try and catch a big eye.

I believe it is pretty decent at night.

I know there are a few guys on the board that usually have a few extra spots in a boat if you are willing to split gas costs. Just post that you are looking for a spot and see what happens.

Lots of spots in Picton to catch trophys from shore, try the picton harbour late at night, my experience the later the better like 12am-1am at night till 3am! Also I have always wanted to try in around adolphus reach at night, I wonder if you could cast near where the ferry crosses??? And also Im sure Macfarlands CO area would also produce some good fish at night, or also the Deseronto area has a good launch with lots of spots to cast from as well..... if you see shad bowling near shore, I guarantee its a good shore spot! Hope this helps you!

what about around trenton and belleville, has anyone caught any trophy eyes there from shore? or will u need to go farther down to get the trophy's?
my friend does have a 16 foot aluminum boat that he uses in rice lake would that be safe in most of the quinte and the huge waves?

ive tried everywhere this summer and fall no luck in rice lake or scugog
ive tried kirkfield ive tried bolsover.no luck anywhere lol i actually got 2
eyes this year 1 was in may during the big eye tourney for quinte and the other was a tiny eye in scugog,im kinda new to eye fishing started last year got my first 2 and was hooked on the species.unfortunately i dont have a boat but i do try and travel as much as possible to places that are supposed to be good eye spots just havent had much love yet lol.
anyways any advice on good spots from shore is greatly appreciated.

You might want to give G2 Angling a try if you are looking for a personal best walleye. hockeyfreak - it sounds like you are eager to learn about catching walleye - G2 Angling is eager to teach. You won't be disappointed. I beat my personal best by 8lbs!! Now I have to go over the 12.6lbs mark.

Pointe Anne Launch is a left and before you hit the Lafarge plant take a right. Herchimer Avenue is where that other launch is. Under the bridge is a deep hole it holds fish this time of year, and usually meyers is decent but it is still a bit mild but Im sure fish can be caught at all these spots. I get more time in December we should try to hook up and Ill show you around. Heres my PB from shore!

I never have much luck under the bridge and it gets very congested when people are getting them, I hate fighting the crowds much rather fight fish!!! I did get a very nice crappie on the county side a few falls ago! Actually it was the first crappie I ever caught period!!!

Meyers can be goood for Pike as well heres my PB that I had beat last opening derby but my brother netted it like a girl!!! Needless to say that pike I lost was pushing 15lbs!!!!
