This year was a tough one.

I arrived in the Bay of Quinte Thursday in High hopes of catching another Double Digit which did not happen again this year.

Many will tell you the Wall-ice had some lock jaw problems this week.

GlennK and I did manage to land a few eyes but not the numbers and size we were seeking.
Once again I managed to lure a slimey Sheepy around 5lbs .I have to keep up the sheepy reputation I guess.

Around 4:30pm Thursday I had my down Rigger trolling below at 22ft using a purple Quick Silver spoon.

I decide to pull up the line to switch baits. When the rod released from the rigger clip I reeled about 10 times and bang
fish on.An 8lb pound Walleye.
Sorry for the Elmer Fud look. although Glenn has improved with the camera he should of told me
my shimano hat was crooked and I looked like a total goofball.

My fishing partner for the weekend GlennK hoping to catch his first eye of the weekend.

And the man finally gets one a 5 1/2 pounder.Caught off a plainer board on a Manns watermelon.
We were fishing in 120ft of water

Image
Just a wee 7 pounder. She was caught off the planer board with a pink clown coloured deep diving tale dancer in 137 feet of water.

Dan said I could add this one a 13 pounder :clapping:

Since the fishing had been slow Glenn and I wanted to try one more time fishing until 11am this morning.Sunday
At 5:30am this morning we awoke to fog as thick as pea soup.
We wanted to get out despite having a GPS Glenn and I both agreed to go straight home.

Too dangerous to be out there.
With the amount of boats already on there way to the launch we played safe.

This is a pic from the bridge over the Telegraph narrows normally you would see the water from up top.

Picton Harbour had so much fog we could not see the water when from up top.

Looking forward to next year in the BOQ.

Time to put the boat away.

Great pics, the fog was way too thick for us to get out there. Just not worth it.

Well I know I don't post reports here too often but I am baffled by only one reply!!!!When I do I usually have many pix in my reports.

Some one asks about shore fishing and gets 25 responses wow.

I guess alot of folks don't appreciate pix which are far and few between on this site.

Oh well until the hard water!!!!

Somehow I missed your post.

Great pics. I like the shot of in front of the cement plant with all those boats. It was crazy boat pressure for sure last weekend, which I think was partially responsible for the lock jaw. It was tough fishing for sure the last half of last week.

You still didn't do bad and there is always next year. Good call on the fog. There is no fish out there worth a life.

You make it sound as if the only reason you posted your pictures here and on other boards was for a pat on the back, jealious of a shore fishing report getting more replies....lol

Nope not Jealous.I don't need a pat on the back.I see alot of reports on this board often without pics.I said what I said because I think many were asleep last week.If any one deserves a pat on the Back it would be my Cousin holding up a 13 pounder which is one of the less frequent weights of fish we see caught.Oh and BTW I also shore fish not jealous of shore fishing I prefer the comfort of my boat over the shoulder to shoulder fishing of the land.Sounds like you need to catch a nice walleye yourself.
That was my 2 cents.

Great report,
I think with the evidence of your post and the clusterf@^K of boats more people are trying to keep things a secret. The bay is receiving tons of pressure now a days. I post when ever I can, don`t care much about responses but I love reading every ones posts whether successful or not. If I cant get out atleast I can live through someone elses posts!
Unfortunatlely, lots of people on this board lurk for info instead of post results or lack there of.
Love the pics

great pics and report. I salute your success!!! Inspiring post. Lots of small WE lately.

Nice to see pics of the phantoms.

don't get discouraged on the feed back, we all get guilty of being busy or feeling like we have nothing to contribute.

Keep on posting!!!

Hope to have some big ones to post tomorrow. baygirl and I caught 8 in 45 mins this aft. One was a keeper but we let them all go.

Great November weather in Hay Bay :)
