Fished the Bay on Saturday - first light to dusk. I am strictly a Walleye jig fisherman; this was probably the first really good day for jigging. My Dad and I landed 22 for the day - 13 - 2to3 lbers, 8.5lber, 3 - 10lbers, 2 - 11lbers, 12.5lber, 14.9lber and last but not least a 15.2lber - Biggest in my boat on the Quinte to date :D . Most of the fish came on a 3/4oz White Whistler Jig tipped w/ minnow. Fished mostly around Thompson point or areas within at least 1 mile from Thompsons. All fish hit while on bottom, even though 50% of the fish are still suspended.

I'll be out there every weekend until the water turns hard.

Best of luck, Cheers.

Most fish were caught in 35' to 45', however as the sun went down ALL fish moved to 30' to 20' depths. They certainly feed in the shallower water during the evening and night. As for the PICS, you bet, I don't have a digital cam yet, getting them processed as we speak.

LivetoFish-FishtoLive,
Cheers.

Wow, what a day. I think I saw you out there. Where in a red boat maybe 17-18 feet? Where did you find the minnows? I tried a few places with no luck. Bait shop and phone # would be appreciated. Thanks.

Holy Mackinaw! Great results LTF-FTL...congratulations! What kind of minnows were you using? Shiners, Dace or something else...or did it matter?

That was me in the Red Tracker / White Johnson 50hp. We get our Minnows (Dace) at Moon's B&T in Deseronto.

Lets hope it stays COLD.

Cheers,

LivetoFish,

Do you happen to have the phone number at Moon's B&T? Thanks

From Google: Moon’s Fishing Licensees & Bait 144 Pearl Street. (613) 396-2208. I hope that info's right 'cause I'll be stopping in there next Saturday morning

LTFFTL - Cold, sure, but let's hope it does not stay as cold as it's been here in Ottawa the last couple of days. We're planning on heading down to the BOQ this weekend for some open water NOT ice fishing.
