In September, da Snarf picks up the boat from my garage (boat registered in my name, so plates in my name) for a fishing journey (sans Mux).

Da Snarf goes for a tour on the 407. When he gets on the 407 his truck plates are photographed, when he gets off the 407, the boat plates are photographed.

Guess how many bills are sent out?

One to da Snarf for his truck, and one to da Mux for the boat/trailer.

Good deal, huh?

That happened to me once. I called them up and explained the situation and they voided the bill for boat and trailer.

It's only six bucks, but funny as hell.

I haven't paid it and am waiting for the collection agency to call my house 8) .

Then I think that the RCMP, CSIS and Dalton McGuilty are going to be gunnin' for me.

Don't worry Mux, there not coming for you. They'll wait unitl you go to register or renew plates and hit you with a blitz attack

I've been dealing with them for years on this issue.

I have 4 different vehicles (all have transpoders), 5 different trailers that I pull (all linked to each transpoder).

Guess how many "PLATE DENIAL" letters I have recieved

I recently was harrassed by them regarding plates that I have hanging in my basement for motorcycles and trucks that haven't been on the road for 6 years.

They have a license to rob us blind, gotta love our government for spending our money to build it and end selling because it apparantly wouldn't make any money :?

lol ive never been on the 407 in my life but ive gotten 5 bills from them, ive had contacted the police and they said it was a 20 year old trailer plate,i do remember junking a trailer and forgot the plate on it some one must have punked the plate and put it on there car.(guess it happens all the time)

When i contacted them i told them i do not own a white car(ford i think)at the time i owned 2 trucks and a red car they said they would take care of it this time lol but i still get bills for the interest on the amount lol.

i had to reort the plate as stolen and ive not got a bill in about 4 mths..

just my little story lol

I had the execs from 407 on a charter a year or so ago.

The top dog is from Portugal I think can't remember for sure. Nice guy although you could tell the other execs were a little unsure how to act around him in a relaxed atmosphere.

I told them I thought the 407 was "highway robbery" with a laugh. I got no laughs in return and a long explanation of why the rates were justified.  . Although I do the same thing when someone says a charter costs to much   lol.

As the day rolled on and I stopped entertaining and just let them talk, I heard some interesting stuff about the transponders and all the stats about how many vehicles get away free and the tricks they used, and how they are cracking down. The trailer problem was something they were talking about. Good to see they still haven't fixed it. LOL

I always make a point, when taking the 407, to take the time to pull over and pee on the side of the road. I usually write my name in liquid gold (Mux). I'm always thankful that my nickname isn't "Snarfalicious".

Makes me feel better (but I always have to help Snarfalicious with the completion of his signature). 8)
