I just finished watching this video of a guy catching a beautiful zander...actually he snagged it but it's huge!! Wonder what is weighed.
I'm not sure what the language the 2 guys are speaking.

Probably Dutch...some Biiiiiig Zander in Holland. The UK has some biggies too.

That thing looks like a walleye on roids!!! Thanks for posting, I've never seen a Zander before. Is it really related to a wallleye? It sure looks a lot like one.

Both the walleye and zander (along with sauger) belong to the genus Stizostedion which is in the perch family.
Europe also has the European perch and northern pike. All three similar species to us here in N. America but theirs grow much larger it seems.

I agree they are speaking German and those things go up to 30+lb, they don't have our Walleye but those things are monsters. When I was back in Poland there Perch even get to 5lb+ which is nuts. :D
