Need some info. I usually fish (ice) out from Desronto or at the old church. My son lives near Carrying Place at the east end of the bay. my question.. is there any decent ice fishing down that way, near the Murry Canal?
Any replys would be much apperciated

Ive always heared that its good pike and perch fishing down at that end........ and out in front of the trenton river for the walleyes i would assume that area would hold some nice winter crappie if you took the time to look for them ....... grizz

Definitely stay away from the river at this time of year...it's just not worth it. The south end of the bay is one of my favorites spots to fish. It's one of the area's to get quickest safe ice and there are lots of pike and perch out there and you will catch the odd walleye there as well. Just look for were the weedline meets the sand and start fishing.

I head out from dufferin Ave. If interested I will probably be going out for the first time this year on wednesday.
