Quinte Fishing

First off thanks to baffish for calling the town as the lights were on last night when we pulled out.
We launched just before dark and headed out to thompsons point. Trolled along the highshore across from thompsons. Marked alot of fish which were showing at 10-25ft down. For the night we landed 2 fish. Father inlaw got a 7.1 and I one at 8.4. That was it other than a few bumps. The 7lber came on a perch Taildancer on inline board and the 8lber on the HJ14 orng/silv.blue longlining.

2 fish. Tell me, you must hang on to your rod with a planer board in use at night? Or do you have a light or something...

I use the board last night until just after dusk then i switched to flatlining. There are lights available from offshore tackle which clip onto the flags of the boards. Attach a thin piece of wire about a foot long to the back of your board with elctrical or duct tape. Next, tape a glow stick to the other end. Worked for us. Watch that glow stick and be ready to shine your light on your board if another boat gets close. Glow sticks on rod tips is a good idea too. When the glow stick dissapears, you'd better get the rod out of the holder quick!!

We saw this bass boat go flying by on the west side of Picton Bay, we were on the east side.

Hard to recognize a boat at 3/4 mile and at 60 MPH.
