Post subject: report Trenton May 23

Figured Thurs was the day, 23 celsius and 20 km winds. heard Trent river was the place, at least some success had been had this year...i've never fished there before, but spent 10 years on the Eastern end of the Bay.
Marked the slot size on my gunnels in permanent marker and made the drive to Quinte, fishin buddy in along, and this guy can pull fish!

Well the permanent marker on the gunnel may have been a little optimistic!

fished the river and then into the Bay 11:00x16:00, jigs worms, spinners, body baits. 2 guys , 5 hours NO PIC!
a couple sad perch and a bass.
Spoke to,3 young dudes that had been out all day in a green open boat, 2 pic declared...no indication if they where within the slotsize or not.

That wind was no 20 km my friends, by the end of the afternoon it was a bit of a hairy ride in!

Would welcome any advice or word that a bite is happening anywhere on the Bay. Am trying to convince my buddy it's worth another try...

Hopelessly Optimistic
