Hey congrats on the fish Ken. This is the first time I have seen such amazing walleye come out of the bay but in the form of great pics. We have been cottaging on Hay Bay for the last 16 years and have never experienced the fall fishing. This weekend, my friend and I hope to be out. My question is, is this get together just for the customers of Merland park or can visitors come over. I've got to admit why pay for an overnight when I have a cottage on the bay. By the way, anyone read the article in the OFHA on Merland park? Hey Super Dad, are you out on the water too? Say hi if you see me, I have a smaller boat now witha Johnson 20hp. The name is the Sundancer, white sides with blue stripes. I'll be wearing the new Helly Hanson Float suit. To anyone reading this post, stop me if you see me and say hi. I'll ahve the planer boards going.

Thanks Stan. This is also my first year fall fishing and I'm hooked (pardon the pun). That's a good question about Merland Park was wondering that myself. Dan, any idea?

Stan / Ken,

I believe it's an open invitation, anyone can gather around lunch or 1300 and chew the fat and meet the posters and lurkers.

From what I am told docking space will be at a premium on Sat.

Do drop by and say Hi, looking forward to seeing 'Cottager' again, it's been a few years.

Stan, I know you'll drive over and launch closer to the action, It's kinda far from your home base.

Is that luncheon supposed to happen on Saturday or Sunday, or both days? I wouldn't mind stopping by and meeting some of the other fella's.

The meet N Greet is set for Saturday afternoon around 2pm. The docking is an issue as the place is full. I would suggest tying up the boat at the docks in Picton harbour and driving over to Merland. I know its a pain to do it that way but the docks will be full.

I heard that Izumi and Ted Takasaki have been staying at Merland for the past couple of days and are doing a show.

Good luck to all this weekend and see you saturday at the meet N greet

Uh oh. Ted Takasaki must have heard that I was saying bad things about him and wants to kick my bass! 8O LOL. Wow, lots of fishing personalities....Pete Bowman, Zumi-Zumi, Takasaki etc. Should be a blast!

Anyone hear how Izumi and Takasaki did? I'm heading to Merlands this weekend. Looking forward to meeting you guys. I've been tracking this board for a couple years. You guys have provided excellent advice, much appreciated.

Any thoughts on techniques this weekend considering the weather looks warm and the bay looks like it will be flat?

Jason

P.S. Can't wait for this day to be over
