Laker & I got away from the Picton Ramp at 0745, headed back to Bayview Resort - Hay Bay.
I forget my survival suit at the trailer.
Fished at Thompsons and west shore with Stickbats, Jigs and Uzicks ( Had to try em in the fall
)
Headed over to the ferry area and met the flotilla, tough fishing with the winds and the number of boats.
Some doing well - others doing zip (That would be us)
Back to Merland Park for the FABULOUS Fish Fry & Chili Cookout. Met some old posters and met some new ones.
It was nice to say hello to everyone. Thanks for your support with my fishing reports. Hope they help.
Back out and heading to the ferry BUT the winds and the number of boats drove back west. Laker (John) got a nice 20 incher near the Marina on a NO 9 Rapala - Taildancer - Hot Chub colour. He had another another strike and lost it.
We came back to Picton Bay and fished into the darkness, marking a fair number of fish in the deeper waters.
Trolled into Picton Harbour, dodging the traffic.
Is is just me or "are there no baitfish in Picton Harbour?" Used to see clouds on the graph - now nothing.
We haven't put the boat away yet and are planning some more fall fishing.
Stay Tuned.
