Headed out in search of some walleye on Jan 1st, marked lots of active fish early on in the morning, only one fish caught by the shark, prolly 4.5lbs-5lbs. Night bite didnt mark as many fish but I got 2, one around 3lbs and 4.5lbs, we marked some absolute giants on the flasher 2, just biting very light!

Hey Grizz, ya blame me....... But the ice around the snow spots were consistent 7-9" of black ice. We hit a snow spot with the auger as we were goinng to set the sharks hut on it as it would help hold it down with the wind. One hole 6" next hole was 2 feet from it we hit it with the auger and one turn it was threw and made a 15" hole instead of 10"........ I warned everyone right there to stay away from snow spots and walk on the ice as you could see what you were walking on. Old holes get blanketed by snow and when the water comes they grow...... Sorry it scared the *** out of you shark but glad you got home OK.
Mike
