I offer Greetings and Salutations. I'm a longtime viewer but a noob member. My Quinte Fishing experiences have been few but memorable and my fishing exploits have spanned more than three decades. By all accounts the fishery has much to offer to all who dip a line in soft as well as the hard water and this board is as essential a tool as any hardware we as anglers use to ply our trade. With that said, I am looking forward to Stealing any information I can to further understand and possibly find a higher level of fulfillment in this Great Fishery called "Quinte".

Like I said: Play nice and "No one" gets hurt. hehehe.

Ass Monkey.

Like Don Baker from Bakers Baits once told me when I asked where they were bitting his reply was "at the mouth" :-)

Hey assmonkey. Sorry for that reply. It seems to have been a very crazy season on this board so far. I don't think a lot of guys are going to say much especially with the events that have recently happened. I myself have gone out with a guide( HERE WE GO AGAIN) earlier this season and learned a great deal. My fishing buddy(letsgofishn)and I were out yesterday and went 7 for 13 they ranged from 15 inches to 4lbs. Another friend of ours managed a fish that was 11lbs and change. We owe our success to the guides (THEY KNOW WHO THEY ARE). If you can't afford a guided trip. My best advice to you would be to follow the crowds. At least you will be on somewhat safe ice and keep a respectable distance. Following others seems to be the trend out there. Once you set up, jig until your arm goes numb. Mine did yesterday. LOL. As for lures, Mr Champs,Hopkins Smoothies,Jigging Raps,Swedish Pimples,Northland Buckshots (tipped with a mud minnow) are just a few good working lures on the bay. Im sure there are others. Peak times are early morning and late afternoon with the odd fish getting caught during the day. Last but not least you will need your confidence, passion and a little luck. If you decide to go with a guide (PM) me and i will direct you to them. Good Luck!................John :D

Ice Ice 45! Save you a $100 dont need no 6 colours for a $100 or so more! A flasher is essential for the bay, these fish are smart but cant out smart a flasher at least you know there around! Guys guides will help ya but a flasher will tell ya whats there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And no one owns the ice !!!!! I know that it sucks when people move in on you but it happens, want to get rid of em quick, bring some fox piss with ya and spray it around the area!

I've been with friends that own flashers and don't doubt its the way to go. The only trouble is my daughter hid her Piggy Bank and until i find it I'm going to have to rely on the Fishing Gods. Maybe next year. Thanks Mike.
