Hey, great board ! Just new to here but always interested in the Quinte area. Im from the Long Point area of Lake Erie and was thinking of coming up this weekend / have our own gear including hut and atv but was looking for close accomodations/ decent fish etc. Dont mind even paying for a guide /whatever ? Just need fish/ food /sleep/ beverage. Maybe not in that order. Coming up early Sat morning and leaving Monday noon. 2 - 3 people .Thanks in advance.

Check down this page of posts to Cherpes' question "places to stay" . There are a bunch of suggestions there.

As for places to fish, I suppose that is the eternal question, and don't ask me 'cause I don't know. I'd try some of the local bait and tackle shops for info, see the ads at the top of this homepage. Or, spread out and scout. Or, look for a lot of shacks. Or, ask people who are fishing. Or, fish with a guide the first day. The ice is still scary thin in some locations.

Good luck and stay safe.

Check previous posts. Fish are being caught on Long Reach at huff's rd. Also big bag off of Big Island.
Good Luck. Remaember to check the ice yourself when going out.

Thanks Guys, We're booked in and ready to go. Staying @ Bayview and from what I understand we're close to fishing grounds and with any luck, just maybe, I won't say it ! Thanks and will post later results, good or bad.
