We have been out on the ice for the last 4 days and the Walleye have cooperated more this week than any other time this winter. Each day has seen us hit fish well into the 20's, with one day exceeding the 40 mark. We have also hit many PB's with the biggest Walleye hitting the 12lb mark.

Thanks to Craig and Ron for coming up from Michigan to share in this amazing fishery, wow these guys are pretty amazing anglers.

We also had a group of 8 guys for 3 full days...George Felekides and the gang....(Brendan, Ryan, Matt, Frank, John, Gus and Theo). What an amazing group of classy guys, and man did they pick up the technique quickly. Many thanks to all the other guys who joined us over the last few days, sorry I couldn’t post all the pics.

As usual the Northland products have been working very well, however a few other products also worked well.(Gold Swedish Pimple, Silver/Green Vigula...)

Here are few pics, enjoy the rest @ http://www.G2Angling.com.

On another note...I know there has been a lot of conversation on the board lately....re: Choosing a guide or not. Really, there are a few great guides out there, the Quinte Ice fishing team and Jason Luffman, (Walleye Wizard) being two of them. However, it's all about personal preference...some guys really enjoy the hunt and trying to figure out the patterns and fundamentals on their own. Some guys don't want to bother with the hassle of finding fish and/or hauling all the stuff out there....that's just the way it is. Either way, it's an angler trying to get out with fellow anglers and having a great time....life's too damn short to really get caught up in it all.

Have fun out there and be safe....we're expecting some snow out there this week, so get ready with the snow machine or shoes.

Give us a call and come one out with us, if not, call us...we'll share whatever info you need.

Cheers, Hodgey...

Juli is pretty hyped (not quite as much as me, lol)...funny thing is she is the one that got me into ice fishing after not doing it since I was a kid. I know...I've been sounding like a kid before Christmas!!

Sounds good...now that's the kind of "24 carat gold" I'm talking about, lol!!!! She loves taking pictures with her Canon Rebel, so we should have a great record of the memories...I might even take a few myself, if I can put the rod down long enough. Thanks again for the prompt responses to my questions.
