Just getting to the computer now, but what a great weekend of fishing at Merland Park. Kevin & Jennifer are great hosts and the weather was perfect (not like last year). We arrived Friday around 2pm after getting skunked musky fishing in the AM at Germans Landing on the Trent. My bud Jimbo calls me on my cell and they've landed three in the past hour. Out we go and my customer Dennis lands his personal best 8lber in front of Glenora on a walleye minnow. Back out Sat in the pickeral chop and I nail a 9.2 on the clown HJ and then we nail our first double header of the weekend. I get a 10.6 on worm harness and minnow off the bottom and while reeling his line in Dennis gets a 9.7 on a firetiger, right by the ferry. Done for the day we we had a great time at the prize table (so I'm told) and back out Sunday to the ferry. Around 10am I get an 11.7 on a sweedish pimple jigging and while reeling in Dennis tells me I'm not going to believe this but he's got one on too. He's holding his rod (fishing that is) and the net at the same time trying to net my fish and not lose any. We landed mine and waited while the 12.3 hog faught right from the bottom on light tackle and gave Dennis the fight of his life. Back at the dock we showed Kevin and the boys the pictures and even Pete Bowman was impressed. A double header of hogs is is a treat but getting the second with bigger fish will be something we'll never forget. I'm not trying to blow the big horn here, just passing on a great fish story from the bay. Nice to meet everyone, sorry to miss the lunch, hopefully pictures to follow soon!

Patioo! Congrats on those double headers buddy. I couldn't believe that
ol' 140 Evinrude smoked that 130 Honda. Your fast outa the hole Patio!
Wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes!
We stopped to fill the boat on the way home. Get this, 3 days of trolling with that 130 Honda exclusively, plus all the flat out running to and from the ferry etc, and the cost? $42.00 dollars. Now that is hard to beat.
Anyhow great times and great memories and some of the finest damn home baked cookies this side of St. Sauver! Yeah Baby!
Pickeral Palace for the Spring! Hide your daughters we're comin to town!

PS... the new codes work dino!
