Just wondering what the water conditions are like at picton harbour near the ferry. We've been to the BOQ every weekend since end of Oct. fishing mostly at Tompson's and Sherman's points, mainly jigging. We've had some sucess but not in the numbers everyone else seems to catching them.

Just wondering if the waves are bigger near the ferry when compared to Tompson's point. The reason I'm asking is because we only have a 14' aluminum and the little boat can't really handle big waves. We've been dying to try the ferry, but were afraid that the waves might be too big.

So I'd appreciate it if someone who's fish both places could give me the heads up on the waves at the ferry when compared to Tompson's.

Thanks ahead to anyone who replies.

Grizz :P

Hi Griss my friend Ken and I fished the Glenora area today Thursday and the water was much calmer in Picton Harbour. We caught 2 eyes at the ferry area and 6 in the picton harbour. There is half an inch of ice which was very difficult to plow through to say the least. We wanted 1last kick at
the can. The ice in the harbour goes from the ramp out to the last red marker so if you're up to it it will be slow going .Keep your lines tight. Cymbals.
