I know there is a launch at the Glenora Ferry but are there any launches east of there? I am going to Pickerel Park in May and I would like to dip into the bigger water if the weather is good; rather than driving all the way around it would be handy to launch off of 33 somewhere around Sandhurst.

If the water is right, youight be able to launch at Loyalist Campground, about 200 yds west of where county road 8 meets hgy 133.

You leave Pickeral Park and head to Dorland, turn left and turn right and you're there.

Finkles Lanch ramp is 4-5 kms from the generating station and another bunch of kms heading west.

Thanks guys. I hope to have a good day to head out on the bigger water. I only have a 14.5 ft runabout so rough seas will definitely limit me... I see a boat upgrade in the future! Good thing is the wife wants a bigger boat too! :D

We are going to Pickerel Park for walleye but I would like to try getting a steelhead if possible. I think it would be best (from reading here) to be on the west side but I am concerned about too much exposure to wind there.

Two years ago we got a 7.25 rainbow in the area of the cement plant, and last fall Quinte Prince hit a 10lber.

I think if you troll rainbow type lures you have a chance.
