Hi all,

I have an '84 Mercury 9.8 that is in need of some repair.
It will not troll down without stalling and you can't run full throttle without having to pump the bulb. It could also use some tlc such as lower unit oil changed, impeller checked, spark plugs changed and compression checked.

Does anyone know of a reputable person or dealer that won't take you to the cleaners? Belleville and surrounding area.

Thanks :D

Freddy's Marine Repair in Glen Ross. I have taken my 70 HP and my 9.9 to him. I have had nothing but good things to say about him so far. I don't have his phone number but he is about 470 Rosebush Rd E just south of Stirling off Hiway 33.

Don't tell him Dan sent you unless you have a head-sized paper bag handy. If it's a McDonalds bag and smells like fries, I would recommend staying away from the Snarf if you don't want your head bitten off.

If you're screwed on the water, I'll lend you my Snarf. The Snarf can build you a Blu-Ray DVD player out of a paperclip and pocket lint.

Twenty-three more sleeps 'til the Mux & Macs Opening Walleye Weekend.

You're all invited.
