I checked out the old church on hay bay this afternoon and its not too bad.
Dock is in and the water has come up a little bit but still low for this time of year.
Hopefully the rains will help out some.

I tried to put in at Stoney Point on Brighton Bay. My muffler was bubbling under water and the boat was still on the trailer. I was looking towards where shore should be at the docks with their legs on dry gound. Had to pull out with the boat still on and go to a campground on Weller's Bay and pay 10 bucks. He warned me to watch out for the concrete blocks where they tie boats up to off the shore. I hit bottom 30 feet out from the launch but missed the concrete blocks further out. You have to be right in the channel as well to get to the lake or you hit bottom there as well. And when coming out of the channel heading into Wellers Bay, stay to the right of center or you run up onto a rock wall about 1' under water. Fortunately I was going very slow and had the motor trimmed everytime I hit bottom. Need more water...

just a heads up guys and i dont know if any ramps around the bay are like this. There are a couple ramps I know of in the states that drop off where the concrete ends. Normally you wouldnt be anywhere near the end of the concrete but with these low water conditions it is possible. I check one one last week and it was a 28 inch straight drop off the end of the concrete. A few people have already donated a few trailer axles on it. So just keep it in mind so we can all enjoy a great opener.

how often have many of us said boy I wish I had a bigger boat. well its times like these when we can thank our lucky stars we dont...... aready limited on put in spots now the best of the best have issues as well because of low water conditions whats even more importian is to not assume places you have been in the past with no trouble at all will be trouble free now with water 2 1/2 foot lower than normal .
