I took a couple friends to Ontario today and we caught a brown that had a plastic ring around it's body and it was actually embedded into it. At fist I thought it was a dipsy ring but it looked like a lock safety ring from a plastic jar lid. We went 7 for 11 this morning.

Wow! Somehow not surprised though. People just dont know the effects of throwing garbage in the water. I am surprised that you didn`t find any cigarette buts in there stomachs with the gobies? With all the buts that get washed threw the sewer system(grates) from people flicking them everywhere.
Nice fish though!!! You seem to have them dialed in:)

Good eye Mac....now I'm curious as to whether gobies are still found in the stomachs of Browns five years down the road?

I was shocked. That particular day I was catching Browns bouncing baits off a shoal. I wouldn't get bit unless I slid up on a shoal and bounced baits right off the rocks. I would slide up on the shoal watch the rod tips bouncing as the baits hit bottom and then a rod would fire. It wasn't until I cleaned that fish that I realized why that was working. They were obviously exclusively feeding on gobies and were picking them out of the rocks. It is pretty cool when a pattern like that develops. FYI it's never worked again. Lol.

Has anyone found any in the bass (I don't eat them)? They look like an easy meal for smallies, maybe they will replace the crayfish and bring the population back up.

Smallies for sure eat them. I think to grow the population though the cormorants will need to go.
