We use 5-6 feet 12 lb PLine when running cranks and 4 feet 8-10lb PLine when pulling spinners.. You always want something to absorb the initial shock of the strike so the bait isn't ripped from the fish's mouth..

The P-line halo is very good and durable. Great abrasion resistense. and next to hear no stretch to it which is good.
