Well, the 2010 Walleye season has started out on the Bay of Quinte...and it's like Christmas all over again!!

It was a fun filled weekend...starting with our 3rd show with Italo Labignon from Canadian Sportfishing. We landed 15 to 20 Walleye in 4 hours and had an incredible time filming the show. It was also a pleasure to be part of supporting the Kiwanis 30th Annual Walleye Derby along with Italo.

We also had clients out Saturday and Sunday and caught a significant number of Walleye in the 2lb to 5lb range. Larger fish were much tougher to come by, so being patient and wading through the smaller fish was definitely the order of the day.

Most of our success came on home made "G2Angling Spinners" and "Northland Baitfish Image Spinners" on bottom walkers and suspended. A few Walleye also came on suspended 700 Reef Runners. With the amount of boat pressure out on the water, it was critical to continue to change up our pattern and also consistently move to follow the fish. We have the new Lowrance HDS 10” & 7” on the boat so it’s making life so much easier when trying to locate and stay on the fish. (Thanks to our sponsor “RadioWorld”).

With the opener now behind us, the pressure will be taken off the walleye and make things much easier over the next few weeks. So get out and target those EYE’s…If you are interested in getting out and learning the fundamentals for a day, give us a call…

Oh, we also managed to wrap the Lund this year (Thanks to Todd Currie Designs), if you see us out there drop buy and say hi!! Hope you like the pics. (Thanks to Ashey Rae for taking the pics)

Cheers, G2Angling…

I was looking at the lowrance sonars and was looking for some advice. Does yours have the side scan and if you do is it worth the extra $$$$ ?

Thanks

Hodgey, you are going to like the HDS units - if you get a chance install the StructureScan you need it on Quinte.

Thanks for the pics guys, boat looks awsome. I was just wondering what a wrap like that would set me back?
